A warm, dry & breezy Saturday & Sunday, then maybe afternoon storm chances for Monday
The monsoon is winding down, though it’s not gone yet. We picked up 0.72 inches at the station this week, but now there’s little moisture in the air with the dew point in the low-to-mid 30s. It’s been drying, and the lightning sensor’s been quiet for two days, so keep expectations modest: little to no chances of storms until Monday, we’ll just enjoy the daytime heat.
Saturday and Sunday. Hot, maybe highs near 90, clouds building through the day, and breezy periods of 15 mph. Both days looks great for anything outdoors. Evenings will be outstanding with lows near 65.
The short of it: a hot, very dry weekend with a modest afternoon storm chance on Monday. Typical late-September, the monsoon giving us few last afternoons before it packs up.
